How To Get The Musty Smell Out of Your Washing Machine

Uh oh.  Now I've done it.  I stuck a load of clothes into the washing machine.  I got busy with my day, then I started to feel sick.  Before I knew it, I had forgotten about the wash for over a full day.  I approached the machine and cautiously opened it to find.....
STINK

I tried rewashing, but the smell was still there.  Only now it smelled worse.

I had to find a way to get the smell out.   So I went online and found a few ways.

Here is the one I used:

I wiped down the gasket with hot soapy water, but that didn't take all the smell away, so I wiped it down with vinegar.  That got it.

I then ran the machine on a cycle with a cup of bleach.

No more smell.
